Last Halloween

It's so fun looking back to last year at this time! I can't wait to carve pumpkins at our family party this year now that Lily is big enough to take out the pumpkin goop, well at least participate and enjoy it a little more than before. She's walking and talking now anyway. But wasn't she so small and adorable last year as a little pumpkin!

I love this little scared face...v v v...like: 'I don't know about this!?'
My family has a tradition of sticking babies inside pumpkins around Halloween. We'll see how it goes this year - we'll have to let Lily cozy up to the pumpkin first and see how she likes it. I don't want to make her afraid of pumpkins just to get a picture of her crying inside one. She's hasn't really been scared of anything else I've expected her to be wary of yet, so I'm crossing my fingers!
Happy October folks!

You guys are great pumpkin-carvers, that's impressive! I stuck Kirsten in a pumpkin for her first Halloween (love the pictures I got!) but I don't know how we'd find a big enough pumpkin anymore! I don't even know if we'll find one big enough for Natalie.

My brother Andrew carved the biggest one and my niece who is now 4 fit it in it last year! At least she could get her feet in it :) They probably got it at the pumpkin patch.
