For some reason this was an extra fun and relaxing Halloween night this year. Maybe with all the craziness in the world things that used to scare me don't, or maybe the girls are getting more grown-up and that makes it easier, or maybe for whatever reason I was just really relaxed last night!? Whatever it was...it was a really nice Halloween! First we hit up our ward's trunk or treat, then we headed to Grandma and Grandpa's neighborhood to visit them and trick or treat. We didn't have to go far before the girls had a boatload of candy! It was pretty chilly, but the girls wore layers with thermals under their clothes so they wouldn't have to put their coats on over their costumes. Mike wore a Zorro costume he bought brand new from the thrift store for a $1 at the last minute. It was fun to see him with hair! He faked out his Dad when we first arrived. His Dad dressed like a scary clown. He loves dressing up and getting into character when he meets the trick or treaters at the door - my girls are always a little nervous how scary it's going to be at Grandpa's house, but I think they're getting more used to his shenanigans ;) It was a hoot! They love to help him pass out candy at the door!
